This gag has been going for nearly 20 years, ever since Paul Rudd appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien back in February of 2004. At the time, he pretended to have a secret clip from the Friends finale, on which he was a recurring guest star at the time. Instead, audiences saw the infamous clip from Mac and Me and a legendary late night gag was born. Rudd pulled this off six more times since then, and it just kept getting funnier every time.

In this edition, Marvel Studios takes a closer look at the many sides of Loki with the cast and crew of the new series. Plus, Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis sits down for a wonderful interview with WandaVision villain Kathryn Hahn. Finally, Disney+’s The Deets take a look back at the animated classic Beauty and the Beast with some facts you may not have known.

I’m dealing with people that are speaking another language. I don’t understand them. I don’t understand the language, but I have to try to dig deep to try to relate to them. When I have an encounter with someone, we’re doing it and seeing what happens. It’s set up, we know exactly where it’s going to go, there’s a certain degree throwing the dice. And that can happen in this movie because that’s what the movie is. It’s about confronting certain situations in certain places and fragments of memories. So, to prepare was mostly about making the fabric of these events, and choosing props, and working with the dogs, and that sort of thing.

Gary Trousdale: Kevin Kline is naturally funny, so we may have [written] some funnier lines for him. When he’s sparring with Esmeralda in the cathedral and he gets hit by the goat. “I didn’t know you had a kid,” which is the worst line ever. But he pulls it off. He had good comic timing.

The original version of the script that I was handed before I developed it in a couple of months before we shot it, the original script had no humor at all. I really thought that movies like this need, in the way of an Independence Day, you need levels of humor to help things not feel so self-serious. That was important to me, adding humor is something you learn in animation, but adding art is also something you do in animation a lot. You want to pack as much into a scene as you possibly can, because animation is very expensive and you may not get another chance to land this idea.

Warren: I think there was a question that came up at one point about the wild Vespas. They were like, “What is that?” And we’re like, “We don’t know! We just think it’s fun, him imagining it incorrectly.” But it was fun to have a place in the film just to put such pure imagination. Oven Mitts and Pot Holders Sets
